Bssserts to observe 60th anniversary PDF Print E-mail

 

Bernard and Frances (Witt) Bessert will observe their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, November 12. Formerly of Fowlerville, Bernard and Franny reside in St. Louis, Michigan. They are the parents of three sons, Joe (Diane) of Wyoming, Reverand Father Jim of Saginaw, and Mike (Loretta) of St. Louis and one granddaughter, Christy of Wyoming.

The couple was graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1948 and married on November 12, 1949 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Fowlerville. Their parents were the late William and Julia (Toner) Witt, Otto Bessert and Lena (Fear) Benjamin.

Bernard and Franny recently returned from a trip to Wyoming to visit their son Joe and family.

Following Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Saginaw on the 12th, the couple will share a family dinner with the other two sons and friends.

The couple enjoys their retirement, camping, and traveling as much as possible.

Gerald and Margret Klaus celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 5. They were married September 5, 1959 at Henderson Memorial Methodist Church in Detroit, Michigan.

They have owned and operated Klaus Gardening Service for 46 years and have resided in Fowlerville for 37 years.

The couple has two sons, Gus and Wendy Klaus of Fowlerville, and Wally and Vivian Klaus of Howell, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
