Richard F. Lee, age 79, of Brighton, formerly of Fowlerville, died May 28, 2010. He was born Feb. 17, 1931 in Detroit to Charles G. & Norma (Wright) Lee. He married Elizabeth Bootz in Detroit in 1963, she survives him.

Mr. Lee was a veteran of the US Air Force, an art teacher for Detroit Public Schools and active in the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service to be held on Tuesday June 15, 2010 7 PM at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Arrangments by Niblack Funeral Home, Dillingham Liverance Chapel.

Troy Jay Hodges, age 53, of Fowlerville, died Sunday, May 22, 2010 in Ann Arbor.

He was born July 5, 1956 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and had been a resident of Arizona and Fowlerville.

Surviving are his 2 sons: Troy II and Cody, mother: Alice Hodges, brother: Bob Hodges and 3 sisters: Sharon (Marc) Kalis, Trudy (Gary) McCraw and Denise Munguia; granddaughters: Alyxandria and Marilyn Rae, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Robert Hodges.

A Memorial Service was held on Monday, May 24, 2010. We always love you and miss you dearly,Your Family.

Former Fowlerville resident and co-owner of Buck’s Pizza, Mark Van Doren, age 40, was tragically killed in the line of duty as a border patrol agent in Encino, Texas the late evening of May 23, 2010.

Mark is survived by his three children: Curtis 19, Rachelle 18, and Dallas 17 and their mother Melinda Van Doren, all of Johannesburg, Michigan. He is also survived by his loving parents Foster and Barbara Van Doren of Harbor Springs, Michigan, his brothers Peter Van Doren of Milford and Timothy and Erika Van Doren and their three children Alivia, Jaden, and Reid, all of Fowlerville, and his grandmothers Barbara Stearle and Agnes Van Doren. He will also be greatly missed by his dear nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Mark moved to Texas to become a border patrol agent last year. He was a good man; and he will be greatly missed by all who have known him.

A memorial Service will be held at the Charlton Township Hall in Johannesburg, Michigan at 1:00 pm on May 31, 2010, with food and beverages served following the service. The family welcomes all who would like to attend."

Eleanor M. Kerbyson, age 79, of Howell, died Monday, May 31, 2010.

She was born February 3, 1931 in Detroit to Kenneth & Dorothy (Staron) Kerbyson.

Surviving are 3 children: James C. Korbut, Patricia M. Drew and Kenneth Korbut, 1 grandchild.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.

Richard D. Gamber, age 85, of Fowlerville, passed away Friday May 14, 2010.

He was born Dec. 4, 1924 in Huntington, Ind. to Clyde and Florence (Lambright) Gamber and married Iris E. Dennis in Hillsdale on Dec. 17, 1946. He was a veteran of the US Army in WWII and worked at Mastercast from 1956 to 1974.  Dick was a member of Fowlerville First United Methodist Church and DAV #125 in Howell.

Surviving are his 4 children: Susan Gamber of Kalamazoo, Richard “Rick” (Irene Kacieczko) of Lansing, Mary Jo (Mike) Barrett of Webberville and Marcia Gamber of East Lansing, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, 1 brother: Charles (Julia) Thorpe of Tekonsha, 2 sisters: Mary “Maxine” (James) Dietz of Hillsdale and Alberta Lapham of Florida He was preceded in death by his wife, Iris in 2008, parents, sister: Erma Bilby and brother: Ernest Gamber.

Funeral services were held Thursday May 20,2010 at the Niblack Funeral Home, Dillingham Liverance Chapel with Pastor Tom Tarpley of the 1st United Methodist Church of Fowlerville officiating. Interment took place in Greenwood Cemetery. www.niblackfuneralhome.com.

Clarence G. Hale, age 72, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at home.

He was born May 28, 1937 in Howell to Albert E. & Anita I. (Swegles) Hale and graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1955. He married Mary Knaggs, who survives him. He worked at Utilex & Western Wheel.

Surviving are his wife Mary, 2 daughters: Ramona Drozdowski and Kristine Schere, Son: Mike, 4 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, sister: Sandy Nelson and brother: Allen (Ruby) Hale. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Kim, son: James and brother: Donald.

Cremation has taken place with burial of ashes at Greenwood Cemetery.

Edward Michael 'Mike' Heinrich PDF Print E-mail

Edward Michael “Mike” Heinrich, age 83, died Saturday May 15, 2010 in Williamston.

He was born March 22, 1927 in Lansing to Edward & Mary (Mueller) Heinrich.  He was a 1945 graduate of Fowlerville High School and married Eleanor Brown on Aug. 31, 1963 in Mason.  Mike was a farmer, did custom combining for 43 years and owned Heinrich Grain Systems, was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, St. Agnes Men’s Club, Webberville Lions Club and was a private pilot.

He is survived by his wife: Eleanor, 2 foster brothers: Mike (Barb) Stock of Fowlerville and Tom (Edna) Stock of South Carolina.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings: Edward C. Heinrich, Elizabeth Bauerle & Michael Bauerle.

Services were held Wednesday, May 19,2010 at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Fr. James Lothamer  officiating. Interment took place at Mt. Olivet cemetery. www.niblackfuneralhome.com.
