Marvel Doris Spencer, age 92, of Clayton (formerly of Fowlerville) died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Lenawee Medical Care Facility.

She was born April 10, 1917 in Windsor Township, Michigan to Ezra and Emma Jean (Worthington) Lockwood. She was married to A. James Spencer in Webberville, Michigan on August 12, 1939. He survives her.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Norman C. (Mary Ann) Spencer of Clayton, a daughter, Sandra Kay (Floyd) Ballein of Ames, Iowa, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, David J. Spencer, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 28, 2009 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Adrian, Michigan with Rev. Greg Burdine officiating. Burial took place in Greenwood Cemetery in Fowlerville, Michigan.
