Jimmy Kassab, after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer, passed away Friday, May 7, 2010 with his family by his side at the age of 49. He was born August 4, 1960 to Ageed and Peggy (Douglas) Kassab in Detroit, Michigan. Jimmy worked as a butcher for Sunset Food Mart of Lansing and Save-On Family Foods in Fowlerville. He was a great fisherman, baseball player and bowler. He was known as Bonka to all the grandchildren and neighborhood kids that adored him so much. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend that will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Preceding him in death was his baby sister Peggy Jean and his faithful four-legged companion, Minnie the Min-Pin. Surviving are his wife, Susan (Allen) Kassab; daughters, Katie Kassab, Sarah Wagner, Michelle (Andrew) Adams; son, Jeremy (Bridget) Kassab; grandchildren, Haleigh Grayce Kassab, Ty Anthany Adams, Tiara Adams; parents, Ageed and Peggy; mother-in-law, Donna Compton; sisters, Suzanne (Mouayad) Habba, Gourgia (Tony) Bosley, Karen; brothers, Ken, Thomas (Laura), Jeff (Leann); as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial Services were held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Fowlerville.
