George L. Dey, age 90, went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2010.

He was born July 24, 1919 on the Dey Farm on Gregory Road in Fowlerville. He was the 4^th of 6 children born to Ora and Neita (Lockwood) Dey. He graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1936. He served in the Army during World War II in Europe.

George and his brother Harding established the Dey Brothers Funeral Home in St. Joe in 1947. He married Mary Petersen in 1947.

George was preceded in death by his parents Ora and Neita Dey; brothers: Harry, Ted and Harding; his sisters: Marjorie Browne and Marion Angell.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary; four daughters: Christine (Steve) Eckert of Grand Haven, Carolyn (Jerry) Frank of St. Joseph, Cathey (Frank) Pastrick of St. Joseph, and Cindy (Kevin) Doroh of Stevensville; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held May 10, 2010 at Peace Lutheran Church in St. Joe.
