SAND VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE BEFORE FORMED

Bump, Set, SPIKE! Come out and join our new Sand Volleyball League. The league will consist of up to six teams vying to be the best Sand Volleyball team in Howell.Gather up your friends and/or co-workers and sign up! League champion will be determined by an end of the year tournament! League will play at West Street Park, Thursdays, June 10-August 12 games starting at 6:00pm. This league is for individuals 18 years and older.

Team Fee: $125; Player fees: $25 for City of Howell and Oceola Township residents ,$35 for Marion and Genoa Township residents and $50 for non-residents.

HOWELL REC HOLDING SIGN-UP FOR SUMMER DAY CAMP

The Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority is once again gearing up for some outrageous fun! All packed into ten full weeks of Summer Day Camp.

Each week is jam packed with a variety of activities and non-stop fun to keep children ages 5-10 active throughout the summer months. Bring your friends and meet new ones while participating in fun and creative activities like sports, games, swimming, archery, fishing, computers, team building, cookouts, foam machine, slip-n-slides, arts, crafts and more!

FLIP-N-FLOP FISHING TOURNAMENT PLANNED JUNE 12

Pass on the fishing tradition to a new generation. The Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority is going to take advantage of Michigan’s Free Fishing Day when all fishing license fees will be waived for residents who would like to fish off of the Howell City Park Beach on Thompson Lake. Bring your pole and we'll provide the bait at the 3rd Annual Flip-n-Flop Fishing Tournament.

This is a catch and release event. Great prizes will be awarded to kids age 2-15 for the biggest fish caught that morning, most fish caught & smallest fish. T-shirts will be handed out to the first 200 paid registrants. Register in advance or drop in that morning. Check in begins at 8:00am. Tournament will begin at 8:30am and end at 10:30am. on June 12.

Come early to get the best spot and create memories that will last a lifetime. Park entrance fees will be waived before 10:30am. $5 flat fee.
