Oh happy Christmas vacation! |

Oh happy Christmas vacation! There really is nothing more precious than watching your babies sleeping with the glow of the tilting Christmas tree on their faces while you are watching a super cheesy Christmas movie on the Lifetime or Hallmark channel. That truly is the magic of the season. The next morning you see the five year old sleeping half way under the couch and Elf on the Shelf (ours is named Evan Tinkie) didn’t move again last night! Maybe tonight he will fly back to the North Pole and finally report to Santa all the naughty fighting that’s been going on.
This year I am a little more on top of things- I have actually gotten the cards ready (not addressed or mailed), made cookies one day and even made it to Mason to drop off letters at Santa’s big mailbox (which included a picture, again, of kids sticking their smiling faces between Santa’s huge legs). During the holiday season it’s sometimes hard to quiet ourselves and remember what’s really important, but it’s so necessary.

I know this seems so long ago, but Halloween was so much fun this year. Webberville seemed extra festive with more trick-or-treaters and more houses all decorated and handing out candy. It was a great night.
Well we had a magical family vacation to Disney World, Universal, and other fun in Orlando. The Fuller Express cooperated 100%, and the kids did minimal fighting. It was so wonderful.

Happy Fall Webberville and surrounding friends! We are truly enjoying this weather and the colors and sights that go along with it. Our WJAA boys had a wonderful football season, and our first year of marching band was a success. Next up will be basketball and something new for us – wrestling. Now that we are in the groove with school we have already forgotten the summer days that are long gone -although I am reminded of them from the pictures I just now printed from back in April.
We are trying to focus on a fifth birthday, Halloween, Fall Fest, and all the little appointments and things in between, but I keep looking past that because the Fuller family is going to DISNEY!!!! Joe and I have had this planned for a few months now and just surprised the kids last week with the news.

The kids have been back in school for two weeks now. With mixed emotions I put my five kids on that big yellow bus and sang, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” Looking out and seeing five kids dressed in their best with shiny new shoes and backpacks I breathed a sigh of relief. I had a great summer filled with chaos and fun but now I hand my sweet angels over to you teachers. Good luck and thank you. Now they are yours.
I have never been so nervous about the first day of school as I was that day before. I was running around the house getting everything ready and decided this year that I will pack lunches for my elementary kids. I thoroughly despise packing lunches so I don’t usually do this. I figured I’d try something new. I go to reach for the lunch boxes up in the cupboard, opened one up and it was filled with and old lunch from who knows when!
LUCKILY there was no actual food but just the same I had put a lunch box into the cupboard without cleaning it out and had been sitting there from at least the last school year. It was one of those things I had to call my mother about. Much worst than the time I opened up one of the kid’s backpacks one week before school started for the next year.

Ingham Fair has new meaning for us |

The Ingham County Fair had a new meaning for us this year. Ezra took two pigs through the Webberville FFA and we sure learned a lot! We hadn’t been to the fair in a few years. Back in high school the fair meant riding rides for hours and flirting with carnies. Sure I was in 4H and baked a dozen or two cookies, made a tin punch craft and learned how to sew but that was all done before the actual fair. I was always on the midway not in the animal barns. This year I witnessed Toby and Martha being auctioned off by this adorable boy wearing plaid and a big smile. I have never been to a livestock auction before. How mesmerizing and exciting.
It was really special to see all the young people who worked hard with their animals standing there in the ring smiling. I am hooked. Webberville represented for sure!! Ezra is already making plans for next year. Maybe I should think about staying there for the week – maybe in the “rustic camping” section? Thank you to all involved in the Webberville FFA and 4H. I appreciate the opportunities you provide. Not only have I benefited from them when I was a kid but now my own kids are having life experiences that are priceless.
